How to Access Your Embedded Files
(applicable to Executive Excellence [self-paced] program; Military Career Transition Blueprint; Executive Admin. & Management Blueprint only)
Your cover sheet contains your full product PDF(s) as an embedded attachment. Follow the steps below for your device to open and save it.
Desktop — Adobe Acrobat Reader (Recommended)
Open the cover sheet PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader (free at adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader if you don't already have it).
Look for the paperclip icon 📎 in the left-hand toolbar, or go to View → Show/Hide → Navigation Panes → Attachments.
Click the paperclip icon to open the Attachments panel — your product PDF will be listed there by name.
Double-click the file to open it, or right-click and choose Save Attachment As... to save it directly to your computer.
Mobile — Adobe Acrobat Reader App
Download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app (App Store or Google Play) if you don't already have it.
Open your cover sheet PDF inside the app (not your phone's default PDF viewer).
Tap the attachment/paperclip icon at the top or bottom of the screen.
Tap the file name to open it, then use the Share or Save to Files option to keep a copy on your device.
⚠️ Important: Use Adobe Acrobat Reader
Embedded PDF attachments only display reliably in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Many common PDF viewers do not show or allow access to embedded files at all, including:
Apple Preview (Mac)
Safari, Chrome, and Edge built-in PDF viewers
Most default mobile PDF viewers (Files app, Google Drive preview, email app previews, etc.)
If you open the cover sheet and don't see a paperclip/attachment icon, this is almost always why — your PDF viewer simply isn't showing it, not because anything is missing. Downloading the free Adobe Acrobat Reader app resolves this in nearly every case.
Still Can't Find Your File?
If you've tried Adobe Acrobat Reader and still can't locate your attachment:
Confirm you're opening the original downloaded file, not a screenshot or a version forwarded through an app that may strip attachments (some email clients and messaging apps do this automatically).
Try opening the file on a different device to rule out a viewer-specific issue.
